What They Say About Us

What the kids say..

"I really like Mayfield because Mayfield have lots of fun Pony Days. When we have Pony Days we jump and have rosettes and Mayfield do birthday parties. The lessons here are really fun. Mayfield is the best!"

-Alex

"Holly is my pony that I have here. Mayfield offers so much for us and the ponies. We also have liveries and loans. Mayfield Rulez!"

-Megan

"I like Mayfield because it's fun up here. It has so many lovely ponies and horses. We can muck out and groom. When you ride it is so much fun and you can jump. My best bit of riding is cantering. I can't even decide what horse or pony I like the best. Mayfield Rocks!"

-Becky

"On Thursday there was a Cross Country clinic at Warren Barn. It was well wicked as we got to jump all the jumps that they had there. Before I went to the clinic I would have never thought about doing Cross County as I didn't think my horse Robbie would jump any of the jumps. The best bit was the water jump as it was a nice sunny day and it was hot so to go cantering through it was very nice! I also liked it when i was at the back of the ride and as we came into a field Robbie overtook Tia, Rocky and almost Alfie! (I never thought Robbie could go so fast!). If you ever get the chance to go on the Cross Country I would jump at the chance i would definitely do it again!"

What the adults say..

"I Picked up riding at Mayfield when I was thirteen, became hooked because I was pushed up in ability and confidence at a great pace; though you share the lessons with others it's as good as one-to-one attention and building up a rapport with workers and teachers alike in mayfield is no difficulty!!! I picked up more lessons and then loaned my first horse - Now I'm eighteen and one of the instructors and feeling part of the family, loaning three horses and off to study a Masters Degree in Equine Science at university soon ... if you have the confidence and the enthusiasm, there's no stopping you at Mayfield.. see for yourself!!"

- Annie

"Mayfield means peace of mind for any parent with a horse mad child. Recommended by us as the safest way to introduce children to horses - we agree. A year of lessons then pony loan and now pony livery! Three years have passed full of great fun, friendships and encouragement. Thank you Mayfield!"

- Ruth & Paul

"Mayfield, although a small family run yard, offers a wide variety of events and programmes that cater for all ages and standards of rider that you would be hard pushed to find under one roof anywhere else. The special bond between staff, liveries and existing riders ensures all new comers a warm welcome and the individual attention that is more often than not lost in the services offered at larger, more commercial yards. I have been a livery at Mayfield for over 8 years and felt so confident in the professional manner in which all riders / non-riders are treated that I invited 6 work colleagues to join me in an activity afternoon. All were non-riders, ranging in age from early 20s to mid 50s and all took part in a well instructed and supervised afternoon of gymkhana games. Afterwards, refreshments were provided as rosettes were given out and individuals discussed (and laughed!!) about their experiences. A great time was had by all, so much so, that they and other colleagues have expressed an interest in doing it again!"
